Who Matters in Temple Quay
a mini festival to bring playfulness and encouragement.
Monday 10th June to Thursday 13th June 2019
12 - 2 pm
by Valentine Bridge, Temple Quay
Temple Quay is a fast-paced, business-focused environment. The mini festival aimed to create a vibrant space to break that pattern. We wanted to encourage people to explore what drives Temple Quay life and who its people feel matter.
The mini festival reminded people that you that above all you matter. We were delighted that many peopled joined us in one of our activities. Unleashed their creativity and stepped out of the hustle and bustle. The activities included:
A Collaborative sculpture The Tree of Temple Quay
Who or what energizes or drains you in Temple Quay?
Over 71 people shared their reflections with themes about the impact of the Temple Quay environment, the joy of water, and hunger for more greenery, space to walk, sit talk and relax. Many people liked working here.
Artist in Residence
We had two amazing artists Marie and Bev.
Board Games
Play a game of Jenga, noughts and crosses. Bring a friend, colleague or play against a stranger.
Plant potting
This was a big hit with many people stopping to decorate a pot and add a plant to give it to someone who matters.
A few poems that were written for this event:
Temple Quay, this market place
Is there time to make a space
To pause and be still awhile
Take a break from the work pile
Press “the reset” for our lives
See the questions that arise
Answers sought by one and all
Come only with Questions’ call
In stillness new eyes we’ll find
To ponder life with fresh mind
Beyond stillness there is more
Who we are and what we’re for

Significance and worth
In business world
Are we valued
Much more than gold
Who we are more
Than what we do
What is it
That’s shaping you
As we rush
From here to there
Do we make time
To simply care
We grab a bite
Down a drink
In each work-break
No time to think
Now marching
To works’ Harsh-beat
Rhythms can change
To dancing feet
Could we slow down
Once awhile
Just to be thankful
And give a smile
